CHILDREN

This Site, its Content, products and services are directed at adults. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to create accounts, provide customer reviews or otherwise provide information to DVDVideo.co.nz. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you are under the age of 13 and have accidentally submitted information to DVDVideo.co.nz, please provide us with immediate notice and include the email address of your parent or guardian. Children 13 years and older should only use the Site, its Content, products and services with the permission of their parents. Certain products and services sold by DVDVideo.co.nz may not be purchased by minors.

CANCELLATION / BACKORDERS / PREORDERS

You can cancel your order only if its within 12 hours on the same day, which means if you make an order after 2pm NZ time you are able to cancel no later than 2am
If you fail to do this your credit card will be charged and the goods will be shipped to you. We are not able cancel orders outside this period as the stock will be sent to us by the distributors and they do not accept returns based on unwanted orders. If you need to cancel please email us ASAP on the contact form.

A product that you may wish to order may be temporarily out of stock (backorder) or may not yet have been released (preorder). You can still order these items and they will be shipped as soon as the product is delivered to DVDVideo.co.nz. As with all purchases from DVDVideo.co.nz, your credit card is never charged until a product is shipped to you.

CREDIT CARDS

We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express. No purchase is charged to your credit card until we ship your products. Like conventional retail establishments, we protect your credit card information and do not provide it to any other organizations. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

We're sorry, but we currently do not accept cheques ,direct deposit or money orders.

We do not under any circumstances accept returns (unless faulty) on orders due to customs and distributor copyright laws. By using this website you agree to our Conditions of Use and our Shipping and Returns.
All items for NZ are delivered by Skyroad Express courier, DVDs and VHS movies carry a charge of $4.00 on the 1st item and $1 per unit there after unless its a large box set that doesent fit into the normal courier package, in which case we will advise of any increase in shipping fee.
All Rural delivery addresses in New Zealand will have an extra $2.50 added to the order when we process your Payment.

Extra shipping charges apply to all orders outside of New Zealand for box sets.
The amount shown in your shopping cart is an estimate only, extra Airmail charges will on a per order basis depending on location and item ordered will be added to the total. You will be contacted and informed of the extra amount by email.

PRICE CHANGES

Our product prices are always subject to change without notice. The price for the product you wish to order is set at the time of your order; however, we do not charge your credit card until the product is shipped to you. We always verify prices as part of our shipping process. If a product or service has been listed at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel your order for that product or service even if your order has been confirmed, or we may contact you with the option of paying the correct amount. MOVIE AND VIDEO GAME RATINGS

Various products sold by DVDVideo.co.nz may not be suitable for persons of all ages. The New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs and The Office of Film and Literature Classification (which works with a number of other agencies to maintain the censorship system and enforce censorship law) have established ratings for the movie and videogame industries respectively. The following are the ratings which have been established. For more information, you may review their respective websites at NZ Dept of Internal Affairs and The Office of Film and Literature Classification.

Film labels are colour coded, much the same as traffic lights:

GREEN means anyone can view a movie

YELLOW means that anyone can view the film, but the film may contain material, such as violence or sexual themes, which may offend or upset some people. Parental guidance is advised before children view the film.

RED means that the film is legally restricted and can only be viewed by the audience specified. There are no exceptions to this restriction.

All labels have a rating or classification symbol and usually a descriptive note briefly explaining the content of the film, for example whether the film contains violence or sex.

Rating Labels
Ratings are assigned to unrestricted films. The ratings are usually given to them by the Labelling Body. There are different levels of ratings, including:

G LABEL
Suitable for a general audience.

PG LABEL
Parental guidance recommended for younger viewers. This means that there may be something in the film, such as violence or sexual themes, which may be offensive to some people. It is advisable to read the descriptive note to the right of the rating symbol before deciding whether you or your children should view the movie.

M LABEL
Suitable for mature audiences 16 years and over. This means the film contains material, such as violence or sexual content, that could offend some viewers. It is advisable to read the descriptive note to the right of the rating symbol before deciding whether you or your children should view the movie.

Classification Labels
The Classification Office classifies all films containing restricted material. The Office can classify according to age or purpose, or restrict a film's availability to a particular audience. The following classifications are common:

R13
Restricted to audiences of 13 years or over. It is illegal to show the film to people below the age shown on the label.

R15
Restricted to audiences of 15 years or over. It is illegal to show the film to people below the age shown on the label.

R16
Restricted to audiences of 16 years or over. It is illegal to show the film to people below the age shown on the label.

R18
Restricted to audiences of 18 years or over. It is illegal to show the film to people below the age shown on the label.

R
This means that there is a special restriction on the film or video. The restriction is described to the right of the classification symbol and above the descriptive note, for example, restricted to persons 16 years or over unless accompanied by a parent or guardian (this is the equivalent of the RP classification used under the previous Films Act 1983).
